Nrl Finals Week 1 Teams Cleary Comeback Up In The Air Manly Make Early Turbo Call Dogs Get Triple Boost

NRL Finals Week 1 Teams: Cleary comeback up in the air, Manly make early Turbo call, Dogs get triple boost

Cleary comeback up in the air

Nathan Cleary will give Penrith a timely boost if he can overcome a shoulder complaint in time to face Parramatta in the NRL finals opener on Friday night.

The star halfback missed last week's qualifying final loss to South Sydney with the injury but could return for the sudden-death clash at BlueBet Stadium.

He will need to prove his fitness at training on Tuesday to take his place in the Panthers side, however.

Manly make early Turbo call

Manly have named Tom Trbojevic to play in their elimination final against Cronulla on Saturday despite concerns over his troublesome shoulder.

The fullback aggravated the injury in the Sea Eagles' heavy loss to Melbourne last weekend but has been declared fit by coach Des Hasler.

Trbojevic will need to pass a fitness test on Friday morning to confirm his place in the side.

Dogs get triple boost

Canterbury have been handed a triple boost with the return of Matt Burton, Josh Addo-Carr and Tevita Pangai Junior for their elimination final against North Queensland on Sunday.

Burton (ankle) and Addo-Carr (knee) missed last week's loss to the Sydney Roosters, while Pangai Junior (suspension) sat out the past two games.

Their return is a major boost for the Bulldogs, who are aiming to reach the finals for the first time since 2016.
