Is There A New Voice At Jones Att Stadium

Is There a New Voice at Jones AT&T Stadium?

Who Is the New Announcer of Texas Tech Football?

Texas Tech athletic director Kirby Hocutt was right when he said in January that some changes were coming to the football program's gameday experience. Jared Kasmire, the stadium’s longtime public address announcer, retired after 30 years in the booth. But who is the new voice fans will hear when the Red Raiders take the field for the 2023 season?

The new Tech gameday PA announcer is Trent Pollard. Pollard is a 1991 Texas Tech grad and has been around the football program for decades. He knows Texas Tech sports inside and out and is excited to welcome fans back to Jones for the 2023 season.

What You Need to Know About Trent Pollard

  • He was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas.
  • He graduated from Texas Tech in 1991 with a degree in broadcasting.
  • He has been part of the Tech athletics department for over 20 years.
  • Pollard was the PA announcer for the Texas Tech basketball team from 1998-2008.
  • He has also served as the public address announcer for the Reese's Senior Bowl since 2012.

Pollard will add his own unique flavor to the gameday experience at Jones AT&T Stadium, continuing the tradition of excellence that Kasmire established.
