Star cyclist Chloe Dygert crashed early in the women's road cycling individual time trial but battled through to secure the bronze medal on Saturday. Dygert's performance earned Team USA its second medal of the Olympics.

Dygert, who is a two-time world champion in the discipline, had been considered a favorite for the gold medal. However, she crashed just a few kilometers into the race, injuring her arm. Despite the setback, she was able to get back on her bike and finish the race, crossing the line in a time of 31:53.46.
